Three Ladies in Cairo is the fictionalized true story of how three Swedish women – grandmother Hilda, mother Ingrid, and Anne herself. Together they discover Egypt throughout the twentieth century’s social changes, up to the country’s first free elections in June 2012. All three learn to cope with the colossal social and cultural differences, born and bred in Sweden and residing in the Middle East … life-styles covering more than a century of these three women’s experiences.

From March until August 201 the Belgian fashion designer Dries van Noten’s creations are shown at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

This grand outdoor museum in Southern France reminds me of another one in Denmark – Louisiana. It’s a similar concept with both outdoor sculptures and indoor works of art. The architecture is in both cases crucial – in St Paul de Vence, it’s the work of the Spanish architect Sert that contributes to making the place so magical.

One of Sweden’s most famous artists, Carl Larsson, has never previously been shown in a French museum. Finally his time has come. This spring, his works are displayed at the Petit Palais, in central Paris.
