Foujita’s art during the Happy 20s in Paris

This spring, the Maillol Museum – situated in the heart of Paris – shows an exhibition worth seeing. The Japanese artist, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, worked internationally but settled eventually in France. This exhibition concentrates mainly on the artist’s Parisian period between 1913 and 1931.

An art museum in Palestine

Elias Sanbar, UNESCO’s Palestinian Ambassador, presented in March 2018, a project that may seem unrealistic: a future museum in Jerusalem. The Contemporary and Modern Association of Art in Palestine has together with its partner, IMA (Institut du Monde Arabe) in Paris, started to collect works of art for this undertaking.

Engaged photography

Three prized contemporary photographers are displayed at the prestigious Parisian Contemporary Museum, Centre Pompidou. David Goldblatt, from South Africa, presented the works of his Fatherland; while Broomberg & Chanarin, from London and Berlin respectively exhibit a different but complimentary photographic style.

Nordic Dance festival in Paris

The year 2018 started with a Nordic dance festival at Theatre Chaillot, in the centre of Paris. All Scandinavian Ambassadors – from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Island – gathered for the inauguration.
