Who is France’s new President?

A star is born – that’s how Emmanuel Macron must have felt after the votes were counted. Just three years ago, he was still a relatively unknown politician. His central party – La République en Marche – was created only one year ago. Apparently the French were weary of both the traditional right and left parties.

Gardens at Grand Palais

This exhibition at Paris Grand Palais concentrates on gardens as seen from different perspectives – jewelry, ceramics, installations, paintings, photographs – from Renaissance until contemporary times. The thematic tour takes the visitor on an interesting stroll with the garden conceived as artistic construction as much as a botanic experience. The show promotes it as an art form and it’s creators as artists.

Sparkling colours in Sweden

Every day’s poetry is the name of this spring’s exhibition at Waldemarsudde – Prince Eugene’s Museum – in one of Stockholm’s beautiful parks. The visitor meets the Spanish surrealist Joan Miró – one of the 20th century’s most famous artists – with his sculptors, paintings and posters with poetic titles.
